Time is flying!

I have been wanting to post for a few days now but don't have anything great to report or share. So, I'm just checking in. I can't believe it's almost July! June has been filled with traveling and hot days! Hector and I were blessed to be able to go to youth camp again this year. It was amazing as always! We went back to Fort Mountain with Global Youth Camps. It was an incredible week of watching God work in teenagers lives who we love and have invested in. There is just nothing like it! After camp we had a few days to recoup and then we went to visit Hector's family. It was great as always, although Hector didn't get to spend as much time as Cohen and I since he had a show in VA. That weekend we got to spend the day with our youth at Stone Mountain for Atlanta Fest. It was their first time to Atlanta Fest and their first time to see Casting Crowns. It was sweet to see them take pride in him and sincerely worship to the words we have heard so many times. It brought a fresh and new appreciation for the ministry he is so blessed to be a part of!

This week he was home until today and we did a good job of filling up every day! Meetings, rehab appointments, dinner with friends, and church made the week fly by. Not to mention a very busy 2-year-old. He has a couple days home before he heads out for a while again. I'm dreading it but trying to fill my time to keep us busy. Yesterday was our first pool trip this summer. We found Cohen a great floating tube suit that allows him to really play in the water and get used to it. He was really cautious at first but soon was loving the freedom it provided. We hope to get in some more practice before our trip to Florida in Sept. It was sweet to watch him have so much fun.

We are doing pretty well just surviving the hot summer and soaking up any Daddy time we get. Hector, by the way, is healing really well. His scar isn't terrible and his range of motion is improving week by week. My eye is also still doing ok. I'm using 3 drops a day for now and hoping to go down to 2 next week. This should allow me to use contacts again. Yay! I will remain on 2 drops until my next eye appointment in July. We are thankful for this season of health and pray it continues! Thanks for caring enough to read this rather mundane post.
