It's been too long, I know! We have had a great month or so! We got home a couple days ago from the KLOVE Christian Music cruise to the Bahamas. We aren't big cruise fans but can't complain when it's free. We decided to leave Cohen here with my parents considering the TINY rooms and crazy schedule. He had a blast and didn't miss us nearly as much as we missed him. The best part of the trip was the 75-80 degree sunny weather! Oh man am I getting ready for Spring. It was an exhausting trip and it has taken me a couple days at home to recover. We are very grateful for the opportunities Hector's job provides!
Well, my main reason for posting today is to celebrate and brag on God! Tomorrow will be my LAST day of oral steroids! Woohoo! I have had no issues coming down little by little and I'm beginning to look and feel like myself again. I'm so glad it will be out of my system soon. This end felt like it would never come. I'm just so grateful God has kept me healthy and the inflammation from returning. Thank you so much for your prayers! The journey is not completely over yet. My last two doctor's appointments have shown my vision in my right eye (the problem eye) decreasing. I notice it from time to time, but it's not too impairing. However, the doctor is somewhat unsure as to what is causing it. Without using terms I don't even understand, he thinks it is being caused by some repercussions of the extensive inflammation I had in the beginning. However, he said this kind of thing usually clears up on it's own. So, we will continue to pray that it does and my vision returns to normal. He did mention having me see a Retina Surgeon if it doesn't clear up. Obviously, surgery is not an attractive option. I have no idea what it would entail, but my prayer is that it heals on its own. But I am still so grateful to be coming off the steroids that have been in my system for months.
